Safeguarding
What is safeguarding and why is it important?
The team at Mind and Body Walking takes our safeguarding responsibilities extremely seriously. The organisation has two policies, one for the safeguarding of adults and one for the safeguarding of children. These are available to see on request.
The Care Act’s Statutory Guidance defines safeguarding as Protecting an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
Mind and Body Walking understands its responsibilities under this act and has robust procedures in place should concerns be raised. All professionals who work with us are expected to be up to date with key legislation around the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.
All members of our team have been checked by the Disclosure and Baring Service. We also ask to see original documentation and do not accept scanned or photocopied documents.
Safeguarding is important because we have a Duty of Care to our clients whilst they are with us. We take this responsibility seriously.
