Introduction to Navigation

This is a great way to start your navigation journey

If you’re keen to learn the basics of navigation, using a map and compass in a supportive environment that connects you with the nature, then this is the place to start.  We run one day introduction to navigation courses where you will learn all of the basics to get you going with a map and compass on paths, tracks, bridleways and roads. A key part of all of our courses is that we will encourage you to connect with nature too. We are committed that all of our activities have a positive effect on your mental and physical health, and much of that is incorporating nature into our activities.

Who it the introduction to navigation day for?

introduction to navigation day is for you if you are looking for a starter day to give you the basic skills so you can then think through whether you want to take it further or not.  This is ideal for people who would love to have the confidence to plan their own walks, or someone leading walks for your local group or friends and family or thinking about leading walks who wants a bit more confidence to start planning their own walks on paths and tracks in the UK.  We run these regularly, usually in the week.
