About Us
Mind and Body Walking is a professional outdoor coaching and walking organisation operating in the United Kingdom. Run by a fully qualified and insured team, the operation focuses on enabling our clients to achieve their potential and connect with nature whilst boosting mental health and physical vitality. We all love the outdoors and love sharing our enthusiasm and love for it with other people, for their benefit.
Our organisation was set up by Katy Draper, a qualified Hill and Moorland leader and walk leader with 30 years’ senior leadership experience within the healthcare industry and a passion for getting people to connect with nature whilst hiking. Katy is a Registered Nurse and is particularly interested in the health benefits of being outdoors. She is starting an MSc at Derby University in September where she is interested in being involved with the work being done into Nature Connectivity there.
Katy says: “In our everyday lives we live shielded from nature, we have highly manicured gardens and we jump in our transport to go from sterile location to sterile location. Our natural world is disintegrating around us and we live in our bubbles. I feel a sense of responsibility to try to reconnect so that we value it more and stop the destruction we are causing”
Mind and Body Walking loves supporting people to get outside into our beautiful world whilst walking. This takes many forms and the organisation is able to support you on everything from a gentle stroll outside to a challenge or trail walk. Mind and Body Walking aims to have a strong focus on Nature Connectivity in all of our walks so our guests leave feeling physically and mentally refreshed.

Walking
We love organising and managing an almost infinite selection of walking and hiking, bespoke to the needs of your group at the time. Walking is a highly inclusive activity which will boost the health and wellbeing of your team.
Our walk leaders are all MTA qualified with Outdoor Level 3 ITC First Aid and the Mental Health First Aid too. They are all DBS checked. Several of them have additional medical qualifications (Clinical Psychologists and Nurses). All share our passion being in the outdoors and helping you to enjoy it safely.

Coaching
Our professional team of ICF and EMCC accredited coaches provide professional coaching for organisations and individuals. This unlocks the potential within your team.
We work professionally and effectively. We take time to understand the challenges requiring focus and remain committed to supporting you to find solutions. With Clinical Psychologists in our team we understand the line between coaching and therapy and navigate this safely.
