Today is the United Nation’s International Day of Forests. And in particular the theme for 2024 is ” Forests and Innovation, New Solutions for a Better World”. Emphasis is being placed on innovations to early warning systems to prevent loss from fires (a staggering 70 million hectares pa) and ecosystem restoration.

When did you last spend some quality time in a forest? Are you in the office now, take a moment to think about the wind in the trees or running through leaves in the Autumn. They are special calm places which have a great effect on our mental and physical health.

On International Forest Day take some time out of your day, if you can, to pop outside into a forest or woody area. You’ll receive some great benefits! A relatively short period of time in a forest will:

🌳 lower your blood pressure and heart rate,
🌳 make you feel calmer,
🌳 boost your immunity,
🌳 improve your mood,
🌳 reducing depression & fatigue, and
🌳 improve your creativity, innovation and cognition.

I am really pleased to show my support for International Day of Forests. If you’ve read this post and would love to get your team outside to benefit from the creativity and boost to your innovation and problem solving it can provide we would love to help you 🌲 Have a look at this link and pop me a message.
